چکیده

Abstract Brown rot decay of stone and pome fruit caused by Monilinia spp. is an economically important disease. The main pathogens in Italy are the indigenous species laxa M. fructigena, invasive fructicola . presence was reported for first time 2008 Cuneo, Piedmont. Further records showed that spread established rapidly other regions Italy. In South Tyrol, Europe's largest contiguous apple-growing area, cultivation increasingly agricultural branch small-holder farmers mountainous areas. Up to now, it unknown if present how fructigena distributed. Therefore, plant protection strategies were applied without knowledge orchards. Fungicide-induced transposon movement in Monilinia fructicola.

Repeated applications of fungicides with a single mode of action are believed to select for pre-existing resistant strains in a pathogen population, while the impact of sub-lethal doses of such fungicides on sensitive members of the population is unknown. In this study, in vitro evidence is presented that continuous exposure of Monilinia fructicola mycelium to some fungicides can induce genetic...

Factors Affecting Latent Infection of Prune Fruit by Monilinia fructicola.

ABSTRACT Experiments were conducted in three prune orchards in California. In each orchard, inoculations with Monilinia fructicola, the causal agent of brown rot of stone fruits, were performed on branches of trees at bloom and fruit developmental stages. Five inoculum concentrations were used in each inoculation. Six and four wetness durations were created for each inoculum concentration at bl...

Detection and enumeration of Cryptosporidium oocysts in environmental water samples by Real-time PCR assay

Introduction: The protozoan parasite, Cryptosporidium Spp., widely spreads in both raw and drinking waters. It is the causative agents of waterborne diarrhea and gastroenteritis in the world. In the present study, a molecular assay was used for the detection and quantification of Cryptosporidium oocysts in environmental water samples. Materials and methods: Thirty surface water samples wer...

Multiplex real-time PCR assay for simultaneous detection of Acanthamoeba spp., Balamuthia mandrillaris, and Naegleria fowleri.

Infections caused by Naegleria fowleri, Acanthamoeba spp., and Balamuthia mandrillaris occur throughout the world and pose many diagnostic challenges. To date, at least 440 cases of severe central nervous system infections caused by these amebas have been documented worldwide. Rapid and specific identification of these free-living amebas in clinical samples is of crucial importance for efficien...
